The probe, called Philae, surprised scientists weekend to wake up and send a signal to Earth. Its historic landing on Comet 67P / Churyumov-Gerasimenko in November was cut short when he bounced into a position with too much shade for its solar panels. Now that the comet is approaching the sun, scientists expect Philae can generate enough energy to resume its planned experiments. But for information, Rosetta, who has followed the celestial body for a decade, will be closer to the comet, to an orbit about 180 kilometers compared to the current 220-240 kilometers.[endtext]
